How to Read 618 Blogs a Day!

October 18th, 2003 · Comments

Robert Scoble documents how he tracks 618 blogs per day.

“If you are surfing with your browser you all are wasting so much time it isn’t even funny. Get into the RSS news aggregator revolution. Yesterday another team at Microsoft did. Will you get it in time?”

Scoble uses Newsgator, I use Amphetadesk. Even though I use Amphetadesk, I need to get my RSS act together. It takes initial setup time. I will report back.

[Later] I downloaded Newsgator and played with it for a while. I really like it. So far I only have about 70 feeds to watch.

I then worked on Amphetadesk for a while. It took me longer to set up 25 feeds in Amphetadesk than it did the 70 in Newsgator.

I think I will purchase a copy of Newsgator. I like the integration with Outlook, plus I like that it lets me name the folders that each feed goes into. Check it out if you are an Outlook user.
